Why These Ingredients
- Activated charcoal: binds to excess oil and impurities in pores, rinses clean
- Bentonite clay: pulls out buildup and congestion for a deeper clean than soap alone
- Turmeric: traditionally used to calm inflammation and support an even-looking complexion
- Tea tree: helps keep pore-clogging bacteria in check
- No sulfates, no synthetic fragrance: fewer common triggers for reactive, breakout-prone skin
FAQ
Will these products dry out my skin?
No. Oily and acne-prone skin still needs moisture. Products that strip too much oil often backfire by triggering the skin to produce even more. Everything here is formulated to clean thoroughly while keeping your skin's moisture barrier intact.
Is this safe for acne-prone skin?
Everyone's skin is different, and we can't make medical claims about treating acne. What we can tell you is that every product here was formulated with oily, congested and breakout-prone skin in mind. If you have persistent or severe acne, we'd always recommend checking with a dermatologist.
What's the difference between Bentonite and Kaolin clay?
Bentonite is a stronger, more absorbent clay best suited for oily, acne-prone or congested skin. Kaolin is gentler and better suited to dry or sensitive skin. If your skin leans dry or easily irritated, see our Sensitive and Dry Skin page instead.
How often should I use the clay mask?
Once or twice a week is a good starting point. Using it more often than that can be too much for most skin types, even oily ones.
